Margo Rabb, a writer and research fellow at Winterthur, will delve into the hidden stories behind these extraordinary spaces. Discover the tale of Louise du Pont Crowninshield’s forgotten and rediscovered ruin garden at Hagley, a captivating story featured in Smithsonian Magazine. Learn about the historical and horticultural significance of Winterthur, the childhood home of Louise and her brother, H.F. du Pont. This presentation will not only inspire visits to our area’s public gardens but also offer valuable insights and lessons for enhancing our own home gardens.
