Spring ephemerals, some of our region’s most delightful native wildflowers, occupy a fascinating ecological niche: time. These elusive plants bloom, set seed, and vanish into dormancy in early spring, often visible for just a few weeks. Join us for an insightful talk where we will explore the life cycle, ecological function, and cultivation of these unique plants, and learn how to incorporate them into our home gardens.

Eloise Gayer, a horticulturist and spring ephemeral enthusiast, currently serves as Rosarian and educator at the Morris Arboretum & Gardens. She will share her expertise and passion for these fleeting botanical treasures.
